I got this idea while I was on youtube yesterday. Just post any pics of your favorite Nascar Paint Schemes here with let's say a maximum of ten schemes per person. I'll start it off going down from 10 to 1. (Yours can go from 1 to 10 if you want)

Jade, I know you don't personally agree with #'s 6 and 2, but tell me what you think of all the others, I want to know which ones that I chose that you like too. Just out of curiosity.

I like this scheme, but probably won't be in MY top 10. Even tho I am a PENSKE fan (b/c of being a HUGE Rusty fan before he retired).

I like all the M&M's schemes, but this one probably wouldn't make my top 10 either. Even though I like them all, not sure any of them would. But the best shots would probably be the Halloween ones.

8. 2006 Kasey Kahne Mopar Dodge

This one might have a shot at my top 10. But I have a feeling most of my list is gonna be more old school.

7. 2009 Jeff Burton Prilosec OTC Chevy

This, without the "Prilosec" on there, would be killer!

6. 2009 Jeff Gordon Megatron Chevy

Don't be too hasty on my judgement of Gordon cars. I don't like the driver, but Dupont has put some killer schemes on that car, as has Pepsi. This one would probably make a top 10 Gordon list, but probably not overall.

5. 2006 Dale Jr. Budweiser Dale Sr. Tribute

Because I was never a big Sr. fan, this scheme doesn't really do that much for me. (Remember, I was a huge R Wallace fan, and although they were friends off the track, Sr. did some pretty crappy stuff to RW ON the track. ) However, the #3 Wrangler scheme he just ran has a lot better chance of making MY list.

4. 1971 Richard Petty STP Charger

My list will likely include at least a couple #43's just b/c he's my all-time favorite driver/team, and this one will probably most def. make my top 10 somewhere.

3. 2010 Kurt Busch Miller Light Vortex Dodge

This may be a bit surprising, but I'm not a big fan of this scheme. I want to be, b/c to me, it's still Rusty's car, and there WILL be at least one #2 scheme in my list, but I like the #2 when it's more plain looking, like it has been for most of it's life.

2. 2010 Ricky Carmichael Monster Energy Silverado

I'm sorry, but "Monster" is just way too overused these days.

And Finally...

1. 2007 Jeff Gordon Hot Hues Chevy

I can't say I don't like it at all, simply because it's a FOOSE design, and it would def. rank higher than the Megatron scheme on a Gordon list, still not sure if it will make MY list.

Ok, here's my list. I'm sure if I took a lot more time to go back through the years, this list would change some, but here it is now.

10) This car made the list because I was a member of a new website called Jayski's Silly Season Page. At the time, it was just starting up and was trying to make a name for itself. So "Jayski" had an idea to sponsor a NASCAR team. He asked his members to donate whatever they could afford to try to make $5000 to get the website address put on the car. He raised enough money to get it done, and you can see in the second pic that the address is on there. I had to pick this scheme because *I* was one of many 'sponsors' of the car. (BTW, A couple years after this, Jayski.com was bought and is now owned by ESPN!!)





9) Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s Silver "Winston Millions" Chevy. I picked this car because it basically started the whole 'special paint scheme's for special races' tradition



8 ) Bill Elliot's "Mac 2 Nite" Ford from 1999 (I think)



7) Jeff Gordon's Bugs Bunny scheme from around 2000-2001



6) Darrell Waltrip's awesome Western Auto #17



5) THE best scheme that has EVER been on the #2!!



4) This is a tie because they are basically the same scheme. They are both Richard Petty scheme's. The first is his last race scheme and the second is his 200th win scheme.




3) Kyle Petty's "Hot Wheels" scheme from around 2000 or so



2) I'm sorry, but this is another tie. This time because it's 3 different schemes but on the same theme. And they rank this high because the subject of the scheme was my mother's favorite singer of all time. Elvis. All three schemes were on Rusty Wallace's #2






And the NUMBER 1 paint scheme of all time, that ever was and ever will be....

I gotta agree with Corey here, Cory. The thread title clearly stated "For all NASCAR fans......". If you're not a NASCAR fan, why comment in a thread clearly marked as such? Expecially if all you're going to do is slam it?

Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion and have a right to state such. But why do it in a thread that is clearly devoted to a subject one might not agree with?

I don't want or mean to elevate this issue, I just don't understand why.
