Because we were just @ gamestop to get the complete edition; and it looks identical to my 'pre-complete edition' original game. Just for verification before we go back to gamestop to fix the problem.

The complete edition disk has a Ducati 1098 on it, and the case has an Evo X.

a photo would be better than the description; does the complete edition have the words "complete edition" on the disc?

It has the original Midnight Club LA logo, and the words "complete edition" under it in red.

Forgot to tell you thanks; we got it all sorted out; they gave us the wrong disc; and since they were having a 'sale' anyways, we got the new copy for like $2 more.. yey, now we can both play. As far as him joining, that might be entertaining, but he doesn't have a hardline connection, like I do; until we find a router that works.
